DJ Drama & Young Jeezy's "The Real Is Back 2" Mixtape Review

IT'S GANGSTA GRILLZ U BASTARDS!!!!! While everyone is waiting on the Snowman to drop "Thug Motivation 103, Jeezy teams back up 1 mo gin with Mr. Thanksgiving aka DJ Drama to bless us with "The Real Is Back 2"

Track 1. "Real Is Back (Intro)". Jeezy is mos def ready for war on this track. The gloves are off as he spits dat signature trap music flow we've all come to love & respect. I think the track could've knocked a bit more, but great start none the less.

Track 2. "Trump" ft Birdman. Now I was feeling this track until I heard Birdman spit his 16 smh. PLS TELL BIRDMAN TO STOP RAP'N ASAP!!!! Quote me on this....LIL B IS BETTER THAN BIRDMAN....Yes I did just say dat #POW

Track 3. "Chickens No Flour". This is def a ode to all the D-Boys out there get'n they paper. U may be saying "Damn is dat all Jeezy talks about?" & I'd say "DUUUUUHHHH" LOL. But he duz it so well so I can't blame him. It's a better listening pleasure than hearing Jeezy trying to do cross lanes & do a sappy rap love song right?

Track 4. "Gotta See This" ft. Freddie Gibbs & JW. Now this is what I'm talking bout. If ur gonna have features at least feature rappers who can actually rap (Birdman sublim diss lol). Freddie Gibbs sounds hungry, like he's ready to get next in this crazy rap biz & the JW (WHO) JW guy didn't sound half bad either.

Track 5. "Rough" ft Freddie Gibbs. CAN SOMEONE PUT MR. GIBBS ALBUM OUT ALREADY? Gibbs is MAAAAAAD Nice. I mean not as in a lyrical rapper, but as in a rapper who can actually rap (I hope y'all know the difference).

Track 6. "All The Time" ft Slick Pulla. Would I be wrong if I told u dat Slick Pulla is WACK? Not BIRDMAN WACK, but still wiggity WACK!! I just don't get artist who ride for their lesser talented homies (Insert Jay-Z & Memphis Bleek here). I mean it's as tho they can't bring themselves to say "Look ur homie 4 life, but dog u SUCK". Kevin Hart said it best, Too many "YES MEN" & Not enough "NO MEN" smh.
& Track 7. "Bandana" ft. 211 is much of the same. 211 isn't as bad as Slick Pulla, but u can't roll with a crew full of 3rd stringers. Now Gucci Mane is no Andre 3000 but Imagine if Jeezy & Gucci were still cool & possibly on the same team....waaay better look than Slick & 211 right?

Track 8. "Nicks To Bricks" ft Freddie Gibbs. Hmmm speaking of a good look, Jeezy may wanna offer Mr. Gibbs a position in CTE (just a thought). Once again Gibbs comes in brings some much needed fresh air to this mixtape. Gibbs sort of sounded like the infamous Bun B on this track, but dats a good thing.

Track 9. "Grizzly" ft Yo Gotti. I'll be the first to admit dat I didn't care to much for Yo Gotti & dat I hoped on the Yo Gotti Bandwagon hella late, but now dat I'm on it I ain't get'n off no time soon. The Snowman & Gotti gel pretty good together on this track; I was actually surprised. & dat brings us to Track 10. "Sittin Low" ft Scrilla & Freddie Gibbs. Now imagine Jeezy, Freddie Gibbs & Yo Gotti being CTE....CRAZY RIGHT? But no, I guess we have to continue to get ear f*cked by Scrilla, Pulla & 211 (Florida Evans from Good Times Voice) "DAMN, DAMN, DAMN". We can dream can't we?

Track 11. "Real Nigga Anthem". I love when a artist last song is actually a banger & not just a hurry up & get it over type joint. Jeezy spits "This rap game is damn near as worst as the dope game". As the chorus goz "Some niggas said I wouldn't make it, now those niggas can't take it, Shit's real can't fake it, you know what they say like is what u make it, Cause Real Niggas Get Money (repeat 3x). I have a feeling this track may be on TM103.

Final Analysis: "Annnd like dat, we gone" says DJ Drama. 11 songs to keep Jeezy's fans a Lil satisfied til TM103 drops & to be honest the "Real Is Back 2" isn't bad at all. They trimmed the fat off from the usual 15-20+ songs & gave us just enough to keep Jeezy's buzz ringing in our ears & his name in our mouths. Mixtapes still play a very important part in a artist career (ask Weezy) so u can never take days off cause every song dat is leaked & every Mixtape dat is released is being closely judged by us, the consumer. Now a wack mixtape doesn't equal a wack album (ask Weezy) but why take the chance when at the end of the day it's all about ALBUM SALES aka $$$ (Jeezy Voice) Let's Get It !! On dat note I give this Mixtape a 3.97 outta 5 SLAPS. Do you agree or disagree? Lemme know & leave a comment below #Deuces
