The Dream's "1977 Terius Nash" Internet Only Album Review

So what do you get when you have a frustrated arrogant artist angry with their record label? In this new era of releasing music through various outlets we (the fans) get FREE MUSIC. & in this case The Dream gives us his "1977 Terius Nash" FREE Internet only album, yaaaaay, well, umm sort of lol.

Track 1 "Wake Me When It's Over". Umm kinda ironic that the first song would be called this because that's exactly what I was thinking *Yaaawwwnnniing* NEEEXXXTT!!!

Tracks 2 & 3 "Use To Be" & "Long Gone" puts The Dream back in his comfort zone, but I can't help but feel the ghost of R. Kelly. While ya BS'n, Kellz would prolly do "Long Gone" more justice, but it still bangs.

Track 4 "Ghetto" ft. Big Sean is mos def one of those end of the nite slow grind club bangers. & the pairing between The Dream & Big Rapist...ooops my bad I mean Big Sean compliments the track very well.

Track 5 "Wedding Crasher" This is easily the "WTF WAS HE THINKING" moment of the album. He sounds depressed that he let the perfect girl get away but & I'm sure we've all been there, but this sh*t SUCKS!!!

Track 6 "Rolex" ft. Casha...I know you're saying who the f*ck is Casha right? Lol me to. Obviously it's Mr. Dreams new artist who does a aight job, but with the Rick Ross signature "Uhhhh" sampled throughout the song, Dream should've had the Boooossss spit on this track.

Track 7 "Silly" The Dream gives us more of his artist Casha...NOOOOOOOOOOO!!! No one & I repeat NO ONE should ever try do a remake of a classic (Denise Williams 1981 classic single "Silly") song unless you have the talent to do so & clearly Casha is not on Ms Williams level #Bop

Tracks 8 & 9 "1977 (Missing You Still)" & "Wish You Were Mine" finds us dealing with The Dream were accustomed to (not the wanna be Prince guy) but the flavorful smooth sounding Dream aka The Love Hate guy. & that's a good thing cause when he try's to put on his Prince Swagg the results are HORRIBLE. Thankfully he didn't go there on this Album.

Track 10 "This Shit Real N*gga" ft. Pharrell Ummm "Deep Sigh* umm Really? You couldn't come up with a better title? Really, smh? BTW the track Bangs lol.

Track 10 "Form of Flattery" I like this song. Kind of a slick diss to ppl & his label who claims his 15 minutes may be up & to ppl trying to say he sounds like this person or that person. Nothing waaay over the top, just classic Dream, I can dig it.

Final Analysis: With a FREE 10 song Internet album this could've been a bad move on Dream's part but I actually think he did himself a favor seeing that his last album wasn't all that great. If you're a Dream fan you will love this, if not you'll prolly wish you never wasted your time downloading it. I'll give it a 2.9 1/2 outta 5 SLAPS. Do you agree or disagree?
